Saab has secured an order worth 10.1 billion Swedish crowns ($1.04 billion) for two GlobalEye surveillance aircraft from a customer in the Middle East, with deliveries set for 2030. The aircraft combine active and passive sensors to detect and identify objects across air, sea and land in real time, a capability used to build situational awareness and spot threats early. CEO Micael Johansson said rising international interest in GlobalEye underscores its effectiveness and reliability in modern air defence operations. Saab said it would not disclose further details about the order or the customer.
