Rentomojo said households across Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Chennai, Noida and Bangalore are increasingly renting televisions alongside TV units instead of buying both items outright, framing the shift as a response to frequent moves, shorter housing tenures and the rising effective cost of ownership. In its Bangalore catalogue, smart-TV plans start from ₹909 a month and TV unit plans are listed under ₹500 a month, while the company said a mid-range 43-to-55 inch television was priced between ₹25,000 and ₹35,000 on major e-commerce platforms in July 2026 and a matching cabinet added another ₹8,000 to ₹25,000. The release said resale values after two years can fall to between 10% and 20% of purchase, with installation, repairs and reassembly adding to the burden. Rentomojo said its subscription model includes delivery with a 2.54-day network average, professional assembly, tenures from three to 36 months, free repairs, annual maintenance, free relocation and up to 15% off on advance-payment plans. The company also cited its March 2026 draft red herring prospectus, which said it operated across 22 cities with 227,511 live subscribers and an in-house team of 1,688 technicians, carpenters and painters.
