The Cyprus-regulated electronic money institution said its euro EMT token XREUR will be available via its website, T2 RTGS and a merchant API after notification to the Central Bank of Cyprus.
Xryma Plc said it has published the white paper for XrymaCoin, a euro-denominated electronic money token, under Article 51 of MiCAR (EU crypto-asset regulation), and notified it to the Central Bank of Cyprus on June 29, 2026. The company said custody and transfer functions were separately notified to the regulator on July 8, 2026 under Article 60. XrymaCoin, trading under the ticker XREUR, is scheduled to enter circulation from Sept. 3, 2026. Retail and corporate users will be able to subscribe directly through xrymacoin.money using Xryma’s Paidby® Mastercard A2A open banking feature, the T2 RTGS system (euro real-time gross settlement rail) or a merchant API. Nikogiannis (John) Karantzis, Group Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Xryma Plc, said the token was designed to combine features from the company’s multicurrency open banking solution, SEPA Instant and the European Central Bank’s T2 RTGS system to enable on-demand subscription, immediate issuance and transfer for payments. He also said the product is intended as a cross-border stablecoin solution, including post-redemption multicurrency payouts made instantly in euros and to more than 60 countries by the next business day. Xryma described itself as a profitable electronic money institution licensed in the EEA and supervised by the Central Bank of Cyprus. It said XREUR is a MiCAR-regulated euro EMT issued on demand and redeemable at par directly with Xryma, backed by reserves held at EU banks rated “Credit Step 1,” with real-time transparency verified by an external auditor. The company also included standard MiCAR disclosures that the crypto-asset white paper will not have been approved by a competent authority of an EU member state and that Xryma, as issuer, is solely responsible for its contents. It added that the token is not covered by investor compensation schemes under Directive 97/9/EC or deposit guarantee schemes under Directive 2014/49/EU. Xryma also said it recently published a prospectus for a planned Euronext Paris listing following a liquidity facility, a private placement announced on July 24, 2026, and final Euronext approvals.
