Bitget schedules $1.29 BXUSDT cash dividend settlement for Aug. 1, 2026

Long holders will receive the payment and short holders will be charged via funding fees, with positions netted by UID at the settlement snapshot.

Summary

Bitget said its BXUSDT stock perpetual futures contract will undergo cash dividend settlement in line with the underlying company’s dividend schedule. The dividend is set at $1.29 per share, with an ex-dividend date of 2026-08-03 (ET) and settlement beginning from 2026-08-01 08:00:00 (UTC+8). Long position holders will receive the corresponding amount and short position holders will have it deducted, both handled as funding fees. The exchange said settlement will be based on a position snapshot at the settlement time, users without open positions will be excluded, and long and short positions under the same UID will be netted before processing. Bitget said users who do not want to participate should close relevant positions before the settlement time. It added that normal contract trading will continue during the process, transaction history will update in real time after completion, and the final dividend amount remains subject to official data published on the actual ex-dividend date. Bitget also warned short holders to maintain sufficient margin ahead of settlement to reduce the risk of forced liquidation, particularly for high-leverage positions.
