Morpho has completed its HSK Chain deployment as the network’s official onchain credit partner, while MORPHO began trading on HashKey Exchange as the firms target compliant lending in Hong Kong.
Morpho has completed a full deployment on HashKey Group’s HSK Chain and will serve as the network’s official onchain credit partner, formalizing a partnership first announced on June 16 and marked by a signing ceremony on July 28 in Hong Kong. The move gives Morpho a foothold in one of Asia’s most closely watched crypto regulatory jurisdictions and adds a lending engine to HSK Chain, an Ethereum Layer 2 designed around compliance features such as KYC and KYB. The companies have said they plan to build compliant onchain credit products for institutional and retail users, including CeDeFi and yield products backed by Bitcoin and real-world asset collateral. Morpho’s modular design allows isolated lending markets with customized collateral, borrower requirements and risk settings, a structure aimed at institutions that need stricter controls than shared lending pools typically offer. Alongside the deployment, MORPHO started trading on HashKey Exchange on July 28, giving users access to the governance token through a regulated venue. Morpho’s total value locked was described at roughly $7.7 billion in the latest announcement, compared with about $7.6 billion previously cited.
