Commvault reported fiscal first-quarter results showing continued expansion in its subscription business, with subscription revenue rising 16% year over year to a record $267 million and subscription annualized recurring revenue, or ARR (annualized value of recurring contracts), reaching $1,054 million, up 22%. SaaS revenue topped $100 million, increasing 39%, while free cash flow rose 71% to $51 million. The company said it is seeing customers adopt its AI-enabled platform for data protection, access governance, and cyber recovery, and it highlighted a multi-year strategic partnership with Microsoft to offer its AI and cyber resilience tools as a native ISV service on Microsoft Azure. For the quarter ended June 30, 2026, total revenue was $314.1 million, up 11%, income from operations was $26 million, and non-GAAP EBIT (earnings before interest and taxes, adjusted by the company) was $71 million. Commvault also updated full-year fiscal 2027 guidance, projecting subscription revenue of $1,119 million to $1,129 million, subscription ARR of $1,200 million to $1,210 million, non-GAAP EBIT margin of about 21%, and free cash flow of $250 million to $260 million.
