Former Glossier CEO Kyle Leahy joins Whoop as chief commercial officer

Leahy takes charge of wholesale, retail, partnerships, enterprise and healthcare go-to-market efforts as Whoop scales distribution, international membership and commercial channels.

Summary

Kyle Leahy has joined wearable health company Whoop as chief commercial officer, adding a senior retail and brand executive as the company expands globally and pushes further across wholesale, partnerships, enterprise and healthcare channels. Leahy most recently served as CEO of Glossier, where she led the brand’s shift from a direct-to-consumer model into a global omnichannel business, including its launch in Sephora, and brought the company to profitability. Earlier, she spent nearly a decade at Cole Haan, where she led its $1 billion North America business. At Whoop, Leahy will oversee the company’s commercial organization, including global wholesale and retail, partnerships, enterprise, and healthcare go-to-market strategy. The appointment comes as the Boston-based company broadens its presence with retailers and e-commerce marketplaces, grows its enterprise business, and builds healthcare relationships in the United States and internationally. Whoop said it has surpassed 3 million members worldwide, with international membership up more than 11-fold since January 2023. The company is available in 56 countries, and said its wholesale business grew more than 150% year over year last year for the third straight year. The move adds to Whoop’s broader growth push as it tries to win a larger share of the health-tracking wearables market.
