BCC Research said AI adoption in livestock monitoring is accelerating, while its broader agriculture analysis put the AI in agriculture market at $2.8 billion in 2025 amid rising demand for automation, compliance and verification tools.
BCC Research said AI adoption is expanding across agriculture, with its livestock monitoring pulse report highlighting more than $55 million raised in 2025 by firms such as BinSentry and MOVA Technologies, and a separate agriculture analysis estimating the global AI in agriculture market at $2.8 billion in 2025 with carbon farming and MRV tools gaining traction. The research said labor shortages, animal welfare rules, disease prevention needs, carbon credit verification demands and corporate net-zero pressure are helping drive adoption of AI systems including computer vision, IoT sensors, machine learning and digital monitoring platforms. It also pointed to regulatory momentum in Europe, growth potential in Asia-Pacific, and hurdles including system integration, infrastructure limits, implementation costs, farmer adoption, technical calibration and registry approval.
