The project said Deaton will begin trading on Aug. 17, 2026 through a Solana-based SPV structure that targets a 660,000 USDC raise and keeps the fossil in museum custody.
JurassicFi said Deaton, a museum-grade Triceratops prorsus skull, is coming to Solana as what the project describes as the first tokenized dinosaur. Trading is set to open on Aug. 17, 2026, with the offering targeting a 660,000 USDC raise through a dedicated Special Purpose Vehicle that holds the legal and economic rights to the physical specimen. The skull is described as 60% to 65% complete by bone mass with all three original horns intact, while a museum partner is set to handle authentication, storage and insurance in exchange for display rights. JurassicFi said Deaton will have a total supply of 1 million SPL tokens, with 600,000 USDC directed to seller escrow and 60,000 USDC to the RAWR treasury, while 95% of token supply goes to allocators on a pro-rata basis and 5% is retained by the treasury. The announcement also highlighted Solana’s growing tokenized-asset market, where tokenized stock volume topped $10 billion in June, and lifted RAWR by more than 89% over 24 hours. JurassicFi has also outlined plans for lending and borrowing markets against SPV tokens, though those products are not yet live.
