The move adds board-level governance, security and compliance oversight to Robo.ai's proposed Abu Dhabi industrial AI group serving government and critical infrastructure customers.
Robo.ai Inc. said H.E. Dr. Ahmed Naser Al-Raisi, former President of INTERPOL, has been appointed chairman of its proposed subsidiary Alif Holding, effective immediately, adding governance, security and compliance oversight as the Abu Dhabi-headquartered group is positioned to serve government, public-sector and enterprise customers across the Middle East and global markets. The appointment builds on Robo.ai's earlier plan to launch Alif Holding as an intelligent industrial technology group structured around intelligent software and intelligent equipment. The company has said the venture, proposed through a joint venture agreement with Abu Dhabi-based Eleven International Holdings and intended to be majority-owned by Robo.ai, will develop, integrate and manufacture AI systems in the UAE for deployment across energy, oil and gas, ports, public safety, utilities, mining, transportation, smart cities and critical infrastructure. Robo.ai said Al-Raisi brings more than four decades of experience in digital transformation of public services and digital security governance, including expertise in data compliance, cross-border digital risk management and sovereign-grade AI security frameworks. He served as President of INTERPOL from 2021 to 2025 and currently serves as chairman of Neurovia AI, a Robo.ai subsidiary. As chairman of Alif Holding, he will lead the board of directors and provide guidance on long-term strategy, governance, risk and compliance standards. Alif Holding is being developed under the banner of "Building Intelligent Industries" and follows a technology-neutral, open-architecture approach anchored in "Made in UAE" manufacturing. Robo.ai has tied the project to the UAE National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence 2031 and previously said the group's roadmap includes acquiring proven global technologies, integrating them into a unified platform, building engineering, assembly and production capacity in Abu Dhabi, and expanding into regional and global markets.
