Chairman Ilan Kaufthal said Schwarz’s background in finance, accounting oversight, risk management, strategic planning and corporate governance would support long-term value creation. Schwarz brings more than 35 years of experience in public accounting and advisory services, including a leadership role as the Dallas business unit professional practice partner at KPMG. Tronox said he led audit engagements for major public and private companies across multiple sectors and served as a SEC (U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission) engagement quality control reviewing partner.
