The Ride Platform unit is building a UK underwriting and commercial base after securing Lloyd’s Coverholder status, aiming to expand its mobility insurance business across the UK, Europe and wider international markets.
Roamly has opened a flagship office in London and appointed Dan Severin as Head of Global Mobility Insurance, giving The Ride Platform’s specialty insurance arm a larger operational base in the UK as it pursues international expansion. The company said the move builds on its existing presence in London, where its 24/7 Network Operations Centre supports RV, carsharing and commercial fleet insurance products, and adds a dedicated UK commercial and underwriting operation after Roamly’s appointment as a Lloyd’s Coverholder. Severin joins after almost five years as Head of Insurance at Bolt, where he oversaw global insurance programs across more than 50 countries and 850 cities, serving more than 200 million customers and 4.5 million partners. Roamly said his appointment is intended to help scale its mobility insurance offering across the UK, Europe and other international markets. The company describes its platform as AI-first, using automation and real-time risk assessment to support underwriting, claims and compliance for episodic and usage-based insurance (policies priced by time or use).
