The Dutch asset manager increased its holding in the Bitcoin treasury company in the second quarter, according to a July 21 13F filing, adding to evidence of institutional use of listed equities for Bitcoin exposure.
Robeco Institutional Asset Management increased its stake in Strategy Inc by 11% in the second quarter of 2026 to 133,755 shares, according to a 13F filing submitted on July 21. The position was worth about $11.63 million as of June 30, and the filing indicates Robeco added 13,291 shares during the quarter. The holding represents about 0.0143% of Strategy’s outstanding stock. Strategy, formerly known as MicroStrategy, held 818,334 Bitcoin as of May 3, 2026, up 22% year to date, underscoring its shift from enterprise software company to what it calls a Bitcoin Treasury Company. The move by Rotterdam-headquartered Robeco adds to the broader pattern of institutions using listed companies with large Bitcoin holdings as a regulated route to gain crypto exposure without directly managing custody or wallets.
