Bleichmar Fonti & Auld joined other firms in soliciting Rackspace investors ahead of a Sept. 28 lead-plaintiff deadline as the case centers on AI spending, capacity shifts and reduced 2026 revenue expectations.
Rackspace Technology is facing securities class-action claims tied to its July 9, 2026 guidance cut and AI infrastructure pivot, with Bleichmar Fonti & Auld joining earlier law-firm outreach to investors who purchased Rackspace securities between May 7, 2026 and July 8, 2026. The lawsuit alleges Rackspace misled investors by failing to disclose that its enterprise AI push would require a significant re-prioritization of capacity and resources away from revenue-generating segments, that the shift would weigh on financial performance, and that the company’s statements about its AI efforts and 2026 outlook were misleading. Earlier developments in the case centered on Rackspace’s May 7, 2026 announcement of an AMD partnership to build an enterprise AI cloud, followed by a June 16 workforce realignment plan that included a 15% reduction in workforce and projected $75 million to $85 million in annualized run-rate savings. On July 9, Rackspace cut full-year 2026 revenue guidance by $150 million, lowered its Private Cloud outlook by $25 million, and said it was reducing its 2026 Public Cloud revenue estimate by $125 million as it exited low-margin resale revenue and faced continued direct contracting with hyperscalers. The stock fell $2.21, or 33.6%, to $4.37 that day. Bleichmar Fonti & Auld said investors have until Sept. 28, 2026 to seek appointment as lead plaintiff. Existing case details identify the action as Morgan-Reed v. Rackspace Technology, Inc., No. 26-cv-6491, in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York under Sections 10(b) and 20(a) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934.
