ByteDance merges Feishu and Doubao product teams in biggest ToB overhaul since 2021

The reshuffle comes as ByteDance’s AI business reaches $4 billion in annualized revenue, driven by Doubao enterprise APIs, AI cloud services and enterprise AI offerings.

Summary

ByteDance is pressing ahead with what has been described as its biggest ToB (business-to-business) restructuring since the company’s 2021 business segmentation, combining Feishu’s product team with Doubao’s product team and tightening reporting lines across its enterprise operations. The reorganization comes as ByteDance’s AI business has reached annualized revenue of $4 billion, one of the highest publicly disclosed AI revenue levels in China, with revenue mainly coming from Doubao model enterprise API calls, AI cloud services and enterprise AI solutions. An internal email cited by Phoenix Tech said the two product groups will be folded into a new Doubao product team led by Doubao head Zhao Qi, with Feishu head Xie Xin reporting to Zhao. Feishu’s GTM team will also be integrated with the Volcano Engine team to form a new ToB GTM organization, Creativity Service Platform, led by Volcano Engine head Tan Dai. Feishu’s existing products and services are set to remain unchanged, suggesting the reorganization is aimed at internal structure, product coordination and commercialization rather than immediate customer-facing changes.
