Italian producer price growth eased as domestic energy-related pressures cooled, while foreign-market inflation accelerated and monthly prices were flat in June 2026.
Italy's producer price inflation slowed to 5.8% year on year in June 2026 from 7.3% in May, as domestic producer inflation eased to 6.8% from 9.1% amid slower price growth in electricity and gas supply and weaker manufacturing price dynamics in some categories. Excluding energy, producer price growth accelerated slightly to 2.9% from 2.5%. Foreign-market producer prices rose 3.1% after 2.7%, including 3.4% in the euro area and 2.8% outside it, while producer prices were unchanged month on month after a 0.2% decline in May.
