The multi-year deal makes Novig the Mets’ exclusive prediction market partner, adding Citi Field and broadcast branding as the CFTC-regulated platform expands in sports-event trading.
The New York Mets have made startup Novig their exclusive prediction market partner in what the company says is a first for a Major League Baseball team. The multi-year deal will place Novig branding across Citi Field, team broadcasts and digital channels, while also giving the Pantera Capital-backed platform MLB-authorized status and access to official league data. Novig, which launched in January 2024, says it operates a peer-to-peer sports trading exchange where users trade directly against one another rather than betting against the house, with the company earning revenue on spreads instead of commission fees. The company said it has raised more than $105 million, including a $75 million Series B led by Pantera Capital in February 2026 at a $500 million valuation, and has generated more than $5 billion in cumulative trading volume with an annualized run rate above $8 billion. Novig also said it received approval in June 2026 as a Commodity Futures Trading Commission Designated Contract Market, allowing it to operate nationwide under federal oversight rather than relying on state-by-state gambling licenses. The partnership comes as competition intensifies among prediction-market operators including Polymarket, Kalshi and Robinhood, and as sports leagues deepen ties with platforms offering event-outcome trading under tighter integrity controls.
