The Barry Silbert-backed company expanded its disclosed mining footprint days after bringing a new Nebraska facility online to reduce operating costs.
Fortitude said it will deploy 9,000 Equihash miners, a move the company said would increase its disclosed Zcash mining capacity by roughly 145%. The expansion follows the recent launch of its new Nebraska facility, which the company brought online days earlier as part of an effort to lower mining costs. The update points to a scaling push in Zcash mining, where cheaper power and infrastructure can materially affect margins.
