A proposed securities class action in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois covers investors who bought or acquired Wix.com Ltd. securities between Feb. 19, 2025 and May 12, 2026, with Sept. 22, 2026 as the deadline to seek appointment as lead plaintiff. The case, Yappi v. Wix.com Ltd., No. 26-cv-08852, alleges Wix and certain executives misled investors by overstating the competitiveness and performance of its AI offerings, understating the costs of developing and promoting them, and exaggerating their commercial and financial benefits, leaving positive statements about the business without a reasonable basis. Earlier case materials tied the complaint to Wix's June 2025 acquisition of Base44 and to a series of disappointing disclosures and analyst downgrades. The final event cited came on May 13, 2026, when Wix reported first-quarter 2026 earnings and revenue below consensus expectations and a sharp decline in operating margins, while executives said professional developer customers were using competing AI tools and that Wix Harmony had "holes" and "missing capabilities." Wix shares fell $20.56, or 27.1%, to close at $55.32 that day, according to the complaint.
