A proposed class action settlement tied to the July 2023 cybersecurity incident at Lester and Rosalie Anixter Center would provide eligible U.S. individuals with one year of identity theft protection and credit monitoring, reimbursement of documented unreimbursed losses of up to $5,000, compensation for up to three hours of lost time at $17.50 per hour, or a one-time cash payment of $50 instead of other cash benefits. The lawsuit, Cardenas v. Lester and Rosalie Anixter Center, alleges unauthorized parties accessed files containing private information during a cyberattack on Anixter's computer systems. Anixter denies wrongdoing or liability, and the court has not determined who is right. Claims must be submitted online or postmarked by October 19, 2026, while exclusion requests and objections are due by September 18, 2026. A final approval hearing is scheduled for November 23, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. CT via Zoom, when the court will also consider attorneys' fees and costs of up to $185,000 and a $2,000 service award for the named plaintiff.
