GAC Group said it was included in Fortune's 2026 Global 500 list for the 14th consecutive year, a milestone the company framed as evidence of its long-running product investment and broader shift from a domestic automaker to a more global carmaker. The company also highlighted another 2026 benchmark: its 30 millionth vehicle rolled off the line on July 16, reaching that production mark in 29 years. GAC said its overseas business accelerated in the first half of 2026, with exports rising 132% year on year to 121,483 vehicles. It said it now operates in more than 110 countries and regions, with 746 sales and service outlets, seven overseas manufacturing plants and cumulative exports of more than 540,000 vehicles. The company cited strong regional momentum, including leading electric private car sales in Hong Kong (China), leadership in Thailand's electric taxi market share, solid results in Mexico and Bolivia, triple-digit growth in several Middle Eastern and African countries, entry into the UK and Spain, and the start of mass production at its Graz plant in Austria.
