National statistics institute ISTAT said its consumer confidence index rose to 94.2 from 92.4 in June, topping market expectations of 92.5 and marking the highest reading since February 2025. All main components strengthened, led by a broad-based improvement in expectations. The economic climate sub-index rose to 90.9 from 87.6, the future climate index increased to 89.8 from 87.4, the personal climate climbed to 95.4 from 94.2, and the current climate edged up to 97.4 from 96.2. The data adds to signs of improving household sentiment even as Italy navigates a subdued medium-term growth backdrop.
