Revenue and profit fell after GC Wellbeing was deconsolidated and flu vaccine bulk solution sales moved into Q3, while Alyglo growth and Hunterase shipments were cited as drivers of a second-half recovery.
GC Biopharma reported sharply weaker second-quarter 2026 earnings as the deconsolidation of GC Wellbeing and delayed recognition of influenza vaccine bulk solution sales reduced revenue and profit. Consolidated revenue was 421.2 billion won, operating profit 1.7 billion won, and net profit 1.1 billion won, down 15.8%, 93.8%, and 96.6% from a year earlier, respectively. First-half revenue totaled 856.7 billion won, with operating profit of 13.5 billion won and net profit of 21.2 billion won. The company said the weakness reflected temporary factors, noting that flu vaccine bulk solution was fully shipped in July and will be reflected in third-quarter results, while overseas sales of Hunterase are also expected to be concentrated in the second half. Alyglo generated 40.5 billion won in second-quarter revenue, and GC Biopharma said it remains on track for its full-year sales target of $150 million.
