Drugmaker raised quarterly sales 10.2% as Skyrizi and Rinvoq growth offset Humira declines, while updating 2026 adjusted EPS guidance to reflect the planned Apogee Therapeutics acquisition.
AbbVie reported second-quarter 2026 diluted EPS of $2.03 on a GAAP basis, up 290.4%, and adjusted diluted EPS of $3.65, up 22.9%, as net revenue rose 10.2% to $16.990 billion, or 9.5% on an operational basis (constant-currency comparison). Results included an unfavorable impact of $0.17 per share tied to acquired IPR&D (in-process research and development) and milestones expense. Growth was led by the immunology portfolio, where Skyrizi generated $5.505 billion and Rinvoq delivered $2.525 billion, helping offset a 35.9% drop in Humira revenue to $756 million. AbbVie also said it had agreed to acquire Apogee Therapeutics in a deal valued at about $10.9 billion, a move aimed at deepening its immunology pipeline. The company trimmed its 2026 adjusted diluted EPS guidance range to $13.87-$14.07 from $13.91-$14.11, including a $0.14 per share dilutive impact from the proposed acquisition, which is expected to close in the third quarter of 2026, and an unfavorable $0.58 per share impact from acquired IPR&D and milestones expense incurred year-to-date through the second quarter.
