Subsea 7 S.A. said it has secured a sizeable contract from Brunei Shell Petroleum for a Pipeline Replacement Project offshore Brunei. The work covers engineering, procurement, construction and installation, or EPCI, of subsea pipeline and riser systems for offshore assets in water depths of up to 50 metres. Project management and engineering will begin immediately from Subsea7’s Kuala Lumpur office, supported by teams in Perth, Paris and other global locations. The company defines a sizeable contract as being between $50 million and $150 million. David Bertin, Senior Vice President for Subsea7 Global Projects Centre East, said the award marks an important milestone in a relationship with BSP that began in 2018.
