Cathie Wood's firm added 109,129 Circle shares across three ARK funds after Circle secured a New York trust charter, while also increasing Solana exposure through 3iQ's staking ETF and buying CoreWeave.
ARK Invest bought about $6.83 million of Circle shares on July 31, adding 109,129 shares of the stablecoin issuer at Circle's $62.61 closing price one day after the New York Department of Financial Services granted a limited purpose trust charter to Circle Internet Trust Company LLC. The purchases were split across ARKK, ARKW and ARKF and came as Circle added state-level authority in New York on top of the OCC national trust bank approval it received on July 10. ARK also added 11,784 shares of the 3iQ Solana Staking ETF, marking its third tranche of SOLQ.U buying in under a week, and bought 298,243 CoreWeave shares while trimming positions including Shopify, CrowdStrike, Cloudflare, Snowflake, 10x Genomics, Komatsu, Iridium Communications, Strata Critical Medical and Figma. Circle's stock closed down 2.54% on July 31 despite the regulatory approvals and traded at $61.59 on August 2, with analysts divided as the company heads into its August 5 second-quarter earnings report.
