BlockBeats said the purchases averaged $1,861 per ETH and involved FalconX-linked transactions, though it added the activity may reflect an institutional buyer other than Bitmine.
Two newly created wallets bought a combined 18,914.13 ETH valued at about $35.2 million over the past 10 hours, with the purchases executed at an average price of $1,861, BlockBeats reported. The outlet said the transfers were linked to FalconX and looked similar to transactions associated with ETH treasury company Bitmine, but it noted Bitmine had not previously acquired holdings through Coinbase. That leaves open the possibility that the activity came from another institutional trade, underscoring how large wallet accumulation can signal over-the-counter style positioning or treasury allocation rather than routine retail flow.
