Tether’s excess reserves reportedly fell by about 50% in the second quarter, dropping from $8.23 billion to $4.11 billion. The report also said the company’s overall financial result may exceed a $4 billion loss. Excess reserves are the assets held above the value of issued tokens, serving as an additional buffer for a stablecoin issuer.
