Kia America reported its strongest July ever in the U.S., selling 75,857 vehicles, up 7% from a year earlier, as dealer sales rose 8% and hybrids and SUVs continued to drive demand. Year-to-date sales reached 506,584 units, up 4%, putting the brand on pace for a fourth straight annual sales record. The company said six nameplates set July records, including Sportage hybrid, Seltos, Carnival hybrid, Sorento hybrid, Telluride and K4. Kia also said its electrified lineup posted sharp gains, with hybrid sales up 108% and electrified sales overall up 52% from a year earlier. The July total was the best for any July in Kia's history, and several models including Sportage, Carnival, Telluride, Seltos and K4, along with hybrid versions of Sportage, Sorento and Carnival, posted their best July sales on record.
