Hayes added 6 million more ENA worth about $525,000 and repurchased 1,337 ETH for about $2.5 million two days after selling Ether, as Ethena approaches an Aug. 5 token unlock.
Arthur Hayes expanded his recent repositioning in crypto markets by buying a total of 9.05 million ENA over three days, including another 6 million ENA at an average price of $0.09 for about $525,000, while also repurchasing 1,337 ETH at an average price of $1,869 for about $2.5 million. The new transactions followed an earlier sale of 6.16 million SYN worth about $658,000 and a purchase of 3.05 million ENA worth about $248,000, according to wallet activity tracked by Lookonchain. The buying comes just before Ethena is due to release 171.88 million ENA on August 5, a tranche worth $15.36 million and equal to about 1.97% of released supply, putting focus on whether demand can absorb the added tokens. ENA has risen about 11% in the past two weeks after hitting a record low in June, though past unlocks have often been followed by weaker performance in the following week.
