Bitcoin exchanges recorded net inflows of 11,163 BTC on July 31, the day of the Coldcard attack, according to data shared by TimechainIndex.com founder Sani on X. River received 3,679 BTC, the largest inflow among tracked exchanges, ahead of Binance with 3,224 BTC, Kraken with 2,848 BTC and OKX with 1,291 BTC. Bitcoin News said River’s inflow reflected users moving funds from ColdCards in search of what they viewed as a safer storage option. Separate figures showed centralized entities received 15,205 BTC from unknown addresses or retail, and centralized exchanges collectively held 3,651,438 BTC as of 23:51 UTC on July 31.
