A Manhattan Supreme Court complaint alleges Dionysios "Dean" Karakitsos deleted 194 expense records before leaving, with Bitquery seeking at least $5 million, legal costs and the return of banking credentials.
Bitquery Inc. has accused Dionysios "Dean" Karakitsos, 57, of diverting more than $5 million to his personal accounts over several years, according to a Manhattan Supreme Court lawsuit reported by the New York Post. The complaint also alleges he deleted 194 expense records before abruptly leaving the company. Bitquery sued in June and is seeking at least $5 million in damages, legal costs and the return of all company banking credentials after alleging misuse of sole control over accounts following a roughly $8 million investor infusion in 2022.
