ASSA ABLOY has agreed to acquire Gunnebo Entrance Control, an international provider of entrance control systems including speed gates, mass transit gates and security revolving doors, in a deal expected to close during the fourth quarter of 2026. The buyer said the transaction supports its strategy of strengthening its position in mature markets by adding complementary products and solutions to its core business. Gunnebo Entrance Control, formed in 1995 with a history dating back to 1764, has around 670 employees and is headquartered in Maresfield, UK, with manufacturing sites across Europe, the US and Asia. Within ASSA ABLOY, the business will become part of the Business Segment Pedestrian in the Entrance Systems Division. Sales for 2025 totaled about MEUR 151, approximately MSEK 1,670, with what ASSA ABLOY described as a good EBIT margin. The company said the acquisition is expected to have a small dilutive effect on EPS (earnings per share) initially. Completion remains subject to regulatory approval and customary closing conditions.
