Consumer price growth slowed slightly from June as food inflation moderated, while services inflation edged higher and monthly price gains cooled to a four-month low.
Kazakhstan's annual inflation rate eased to 10.2% in July 2026 from 10.3% in June, marking the lowest reading since March 2025. The slowdown was driven by softer food inflation, which decelerated to 10.1% from 10.4% as prices for fruits, nuts, and berries fell 0.8% after rising 1.5%, and price growth slowed for meat and poultry to 15.8% from 17.6% and for eggs to 14.2% from 15.3%. Non-food inflation was unchanged at 11.7%, with detergent prices steady at 11.1%. Services inflation, however, edged up to 9.2% from 9.0%, led by faster increases in housing and utilities, rental property, and the maintenance, repair, and security of residential premises. On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose 0.6% in July, down from 0.8% in June and the slowest monthly increase in four months.
