The pharmaceutical CRDMO reported stronger profit, cash flow and backlog through June, while also increasing capex plans and proposing a higher interim cash dividend.
WuXi AppTec said first-half 2026 results beat earlier expectations, prompting the pharmaceutical CRDMO to raise its full-year revenue, capex and free-cash-flow guidance. H1 revenue reached RMB 28.897 billion, up 38.9% year over year, while net profit attributable to parent company shareholders rose 33.7% to about RMB 11.08 billion and adjusted net profit climbed 83.2% to about RMB 11.571 billion. Gross profit increased 68.8% to RMB 15.38 billion and gross margin improved 9.4 percentage points to 53.2%. Backlog from continuing operations stood at RMB 66.43 billion as of the end of June, up 25.2% from a year earlier. The company said momentum was driven by successful client product advancements and its integrated, end-to-end CRDMO business model. It now targets 2026 total revenue of RMB 58.5 billion to RMB 60.5 billion, versus previous guidance of RMB 51.3 billion to RMB 53.0 billion, and lifted capex guidance to RMB 7.5 billion to RMB 8.5 billion to support faster global capacity expansion, including the new Changzhou site ahead of schedule.
