DeepX, a South Korean artificial intelligence chip design company, has completed the first close of its Series D funding round and secured 42 billion won from existing investors BNW Investment and DS Asset Management. The latest transaction values the company at about 3.14 trillion won, or $2.2 billion, roughly four times its valuation in the prior round. The deal reflects continued investor demand for companies linked to the artificial intelligence supply chain, especially developers of specialized semiconductor hardware.
