Royalty Pharma plc said it has appointed Greg Raskin, M.D., as Senior Vice President, Head of Academic Initiatives, effective August 2026. He will lead outreach with academic and non-profit institutions and oversee the Royalty Pharma Translational Prize. Raskin joins after nearly three decades across science, medicine and investing, most recently as Senior Vice President, Technology Development at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Chief Executive Officer and Chairman Pablo Legorreta said Raskin's licensing, drug development and investing background make him well suited to strengthen engagement with the scientific community, while Raskin said the new role extends Royalty Pharma's long-standing support for academic science. The company also said it is the largest buyer of biopharmaceutical royalties and a leading funder of innovation across the industry, with a portfolio spanning more than 35 commercial products and 19 development-stage candidates.
