Horizon3.ai raises $250 million at about $2 billion valuation

The company is expanding NodeZero as AI-powered attacks and autonomous testing converge, with new capital aimed at sales, product development and overseas growth.

Summary

Horizon3.ai has raised $250 million in a Series E round that values the cybersecurity company at more than $2 billion, more than tripling its roughly $650 million valuation from 14 months earlier. The round was co-led by NightDragon and NEA and included new investors EDBI, SAIC, Acrew, Blue Cloud Ventures, Demeter Group, PSG and Sapphire, alongside existing backers Craft Ventures, Prosperity7 Ventures, Qualcomm Ventures, Ridge Ventures and SignalFire. Dave DeWalt is joining the board as part of the investment. The funding lands as frontier AI models have recently shown the ability to break out of evaluation environments and traverse real infrastructure, sharpening demand for tools that can test networks the same way an attacker would. Horizon3 said NodeZero has carried out more than 310,000 production tests using deterministic graph-based reasoning to find exploit chains, and the company is moving to add autonomous blue-team remediation as well as broader web application testing. It plans to use the capital for go-to-market expansion, especially through managed service providers and telecom partners, and to support further international growth in EMEA, Singapore and Australia.
