Hosted by Ellie Austin, the new daily premium video program expands Fortune’s newsroom-driven business coverage across its website, YouTube, Apple Music, Spotify and social platforms.
Fortune said it is launching Fortune Daily, its first premium daily video show, as part of a broader push to expand its video journalism and multimedia reach for business audiences. Hosted by Ellie Austin, editorial director of Fortune’s Most Powerful Women franchise, the live-to-tape program will broadcast from Fortune’s newsroom in New York’s Financial District and draw on the reporting of its journalists to connect daily headlines with wider shifts in markets, technology, culture, leadership and politics. The company said the show is designed in a fast-paced, social-first format for business leaders, Fortune 500 executives, investors and other decision-makers. Early segments include excerpts from Alyson Shontell’s interview with Pershing Square Capital Management founder Bill Ackman, a Cover Story discussion with Kristin Stoller on her profile of Amazon Executive Chair Jeff Bezos, and a segment from Leadership Editor Ruth Umoh on how C-suite roles are changing. Recurring features are set to include The Bull / Bear Case, Anatomy of a Deal, The Business of Luxury and The Business of Sports. Fortune said the launch builds on a two-year expansion of Fortune Video, during which it tripled staff, launched a dedicated YouTube channel and added vodcasts including Fortune 500: Titans and Disruptors of Industry. Distribution will span Fortune.com, the Fortune Daily YouTube channel, Apple Music and Spotify, with clips on LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram and X. The show will also report from major Fortune conferences including the Fortune 500 Innovation Forum in Detroit, the World Economic Forum in Davos and Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.
