The bank said the milestone keeps its largest-ever annual branch expansion on course as it pursues a roughly $2 billion plan to add 300 locations by 2030 and renovate its network.
PNC Bank said it has opened its 50th new branch, marking a checkpoint in a nationwide expansion that the lender says will exceed 300 new locations across key U.S. markets. The latest site, in Hialeah, Florida, opened on Aug. 3, 2026, and the bank said it remains on track to open 55 new branches in 2026, its largest single-year branch rollout on record. PNC said the broader effort is part of a multi-year plan to invest approximately $2 billion in its branch network, covering new construction in 19 markets and renovations across its existing U.S. footprint. Recently opened branches include locations in Dallas, Miami, Houston and Denver. Alex Overstrom, head of Retail Banking at PNC, said branches remain central to the bank's retail strategy because they support in-person advice and customer relationships even as digital banking options expand.
