July data showed Hyperliquid led perpetual DEX trading with $218 billion in volume, while RWA-linked contracts exceeded half of platform activity for two straight weeks and helped offset weaker crypto perpetuals.
Hyperliquid's real-world asset-linked perpetual futures accounted for more than half of trading volume for two consecutive weeks in July, the first time contracts tied to stocks, commodities and indexes out-traded crypto on the decentralized exchange. Blockworks data showed $25.1 billion in RWA volume in the week of July 13-19, equal to 52% of Hyperliquid's $48.2 billion total, and the share remained above 50% in the following week. Separate CryptoRank data showed Hyperliquid generated $218 billion in July perpetual volume, exceeding the combined $189 billion posted by the other seven leading perpetual DEXs. Lorenzo Valente of ARK Invest said single stocks made up 61% of RWA volume, while Token Terminal data showed Hyperliquid's quarterly volume fell from about $1 trillion in Q3 2025 to roughly $550 billion in Q2 2026 as crypto perpetuals weakened.
