Flap tops Pump.fun in daily revenue with $1.18 million on Aug. 1

The BNB Chain launchpad briefly overtook Pump's broader protocol family as trading activity surged around the relaunch of memecoin 币安人生, even though Pump remains far larger over 30 days and lifetime revenue.

Summary

Flap, a BNB Chain token launchpad, generated $1,183,980 in revenue on Aug. 1 and overtook Pump.fun on a daily basis for the first time, according to DefiLlama. Pump's broader protocol family, which includes the pump.fun launchpad, PumpSwap AMM and a trading terminal, posted $1,103,266 the same day under DefiLlama's parent-protocol accounting. Flap's rise was rapid, climbing from $28,343 on July 19 to $541,637 on July 30, $663,511 on July 31 and then roughly 40 times higher over two weeks by Aug. 1. Nearly all of that revenue came from BNB Chain, with only small contributions from Robinhood Chain and X Layer. The jump coincided with the relaunch of 币安人生 ("Binance Life"), a memecoin previously linked to a more than 3,000% surge on Four.Meme last October after Binance co-founder Yi He posted the phrase on X. Even so, Pump remains the larger business over longer periods: its protocol family earned $31.4 million over the past 30 days versus Flap's $4.42 million, while lifetime revenue stands at $1.22 billion for Pump against $52.3 million for Flap. Flap says it is a programmable token launchpad and differs from Pump.fun by allowing tax tokens, with trading taxes of 1% to 10% directed to incentives, treasuries or marketing, though GMGN warned that some Flap-launched tokens can carry dynamic sell taxes of up to 100%, creating effective exit risk for traders.
