Revenue of $1.94 billion and 149% U.S. commercial growth lifted guidance and pushed the company above a $380 billion market value.
Palantir Technologies surged nearly 30% after second-quarter results handily beat expectations, lifting its market capitalization above $380 billion and shifting investor focus toward the company's operating model. Revenue rose 93% to $1.94 billion, adjusted earnings were $0.41 a share, ahead of estimates cited as 35 cents in the latest report and 30 cents in earlier coverage, and the company raised full-year revenue guidance to $8.15 billion to $8.16 billion while increasing its U.S. commercial outlook to more than $3.42 billion from $3.22 billion. U.S. commercial revenue climbed 149% to $764 million and government revenue rose 90% to $809 million, while adjusted free cash flow reached $1.22 billion and cash totaled $9.4 billion with no debt. Analysts and investors are increasingly centering on Palantir's Forward Deployed Engineer model, which places engineers inside client organizations to turn AI projects into operating systems, as well as its pitch around sovereign AI and data control. The earnings surprise also reinforced bullish calls from D.A. Davidson and Deutsche Bank, even as Michael Burry has kept a short position and some investors continue to question valuation after the stock's rapid rebound.
