The closed-end fund said shareholders of record on Aug. 24, 2026 will receive the payout, while reiterating risks tied to below-investment-grade credit, real estate exposure and illiquid holdings.
Highland Opportunities and Income Fund said it will pay a regular monthly distribution of $0.0385 per common share on Aug. 31, 2026, to shareholders of record at the close of business on Aug. 24, 2026. The NYSE-listed closed-end fund, traded as HFRO, said it aims to provide capital growth alongside income and invests across real estate-linked assets, loans, corporate bonds, distressed and structured products, equities, and floating-rate investments, including through derivatives (contracts whose value tracks underlying assets). The release also noted that distributions are paid monthly and may include a return of capital. HFRO is managed by NexPoint Asset Management, L.P., an SEC-registered investment adviser (U.S. securities regulator registration), which said investors should review the fund's prospectus and consider risks including discounts to net asset value, below-investment-grade credit exposure, real estate industry sensitivity and investment illiquidity.
