The Swyftx-owned firm is targeting high-net-worth UK clients, arguing crypto ownership trails other markets even as average holdings rise among British investors.
Caleb & Brown, the Australian personal crypto brokerage owned by Swyftx Group, has entered the UK market to target high-net-worth clients with a private-client model built around dedicated human brokers and tailored execution. The move expands the firm beyond Australia and the US and comes about a year after Swyftx acquired the business in 2025 in a deal worth more than $100 million. Swyftx Group co-CEO Andrea Yuen said the UK represents an underpenetrated market for digital-asset investing, arguing that participation in Bitcoin and other alternative risk assets is four or even five times lower than in the US, Asia and Australia. Chainalysis' 2025 Global Crypto Adoption Index ranked the UK 11th, behind Russia, the Philippines and Ukraine. The Financial Conduct Authority estimated last year that 8% of people in the UK own crypto, down from 2024, though the typical value held by investors has increased. Caleb & Brown is positioning its UK push around bespoke service rather than the retail exchange model, saying the country is under-served in private-client digital-asset offerings despite being one of the world's oldest and most sophisticated financial centers. The launch adds to a broader split in crypto markets between mass-market platforms and higher-touch services aimed at wealthy investors.
