The optional privacy layer hides APT balances and transfer amounts while keeping wallet addresses visible, targeting enterprise payments, treasury and compliance-sensitive business use.
Aptos has launched Confidential APT on its mainnet, adding an optional privacy layer for APT transactions that hides token balances and transfer amounts while keeping sender and receiver addresses visible on-chain. The feature uses zero-knowledge proofs to validate private transactions without revealing the underlying figures, and it includes selective disclosure so users can share details with auditors, regulators, business partners or internal finance teams when needed. Aptos is positioning the tool for enterprise use cases such as payroll, treasury operations, corporate transfers and business-to-business payments, where firms may want blockchain-based settlement without exposing balances or payment sizes publicly. The rollout strengthens Aptos' enterprise-focused narrative, though it has not yet translated into a clear boost for the native token, which was trading near $0.573 on the one-hour chart at press time after briefly testing the $0.58 area.
