HCLTech said it has closed its acquisition of HPE's Telco Solutions business, a transaction first announced in December 2025, adding to its telecom expansion after integrating HPE's Communications Technology Group in 2024. The company said the purchase strengthens its AI- and engineering-led offerings for communication service providers as they increase spending on AI-driven network transformation, next-generation infrastructure and autonomous operations. HCLTech said the combination brings together CTG and Telco Solutions expertise, talent, intellectual property and solutions with its own engineering, AI and managed services capabilities, alongside more than 30 years of communications industry experience. The deal broadens HCLTech's reach in North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia-Pacific, including Japan, and expands telecom capabilities spanning OSS, HSS, 5G SDM, customer experience, network functions and virtualization, media and video, industrial IoT, data intelligence, BSS, SMO, digital twin and eSIM tools. HCLTech also said the acquisition adds nearly 1,400 engineers and telecom specialists across 39 countries, strengthening nearshore delivery in Japan, Spain, Romania, Italy, India and Latin America.
