Other gainers included AMD, up 3.52%; Intel, up 3.46%; SanDisk, up 3.44%; Western Digital, up 3.32%; SK Hynix ADR (U.S.-listed depositary receipt), up 3.08%; Lam Research, up 2.94%; Seagate Technology, up 2.64%; and Nvidia, up 0.95%. The moves pointed to broad strength across the chip and storage segment before the U.S. market open.
