Apple restored Telegram to the App Store after the messaging platform removed content that violated Apple’s child safety policies and banned the user who posted it. Bloomberg reported that Apple had briefly taken the app down after a review found content that breached its rules on child sexual abuse material. The Telegram-linked token Gram dropped about 6.4% to $1.32 from $1.41 after reports of the removal, then recovered to about $1.40 at the time of writing, according to CoinGecko data. Telegram responded on X by saying, "Reports of my demise are greatly exaggerated," followed by an apple emoji. The episode comes as Telegram is also dealing with legal action over illegal material in Russia and Australia, adding to scrutiny of how the platform moderates harmful content.
