Binance Research said decentralized exchanges handled most of July's $18.2 billion tokenized equity volume, while bStocks gathered over $500 million in assets under management and 27% market share in seven weeks.
Tokenized equities posted a breakout month in July, with Binance Research putting trading volume at $18.2 billion, 4.4 times June's total and more than the previous six months combined. More than half of 2026's $34.3 billion year-to-date volume came in July alone, with decentralized exchanges accounting for $12.8 billion and centralized exchanges handling $5.4 billion as round-the-clock, on-chain trading continued to attract demand for off-hours equity exposure. Binance's bStocks, launched on June 11, 2026, accumulated more than $500 million in assets under management within seven weeks and reached a 27% share of global tokenized equity market cap by late July. CoinDesk separately reported $11.3 billion in July trading volume for tokenized stocks and ETFs, suggesting methodological and venue-coverage differences. The surge extends earlier venue-level gains reported by Bitget, which said its Reality rTokens generated $1.153 billion in July trading and that about one-third of activity took place outside regular U.S. stock-market hours. Binance Research also said the broader tokenized real-world asset market grew 589% from early 2025 to mid-2026.
